Downloading and Purchasing Items
Most items on the MaRC are available at no charge and can be emailed or downloaded immediately; however, some items are available for purchase and will be physically mailed to you. This section outlines the process required to obtain both types of materials.
It should be noted that a small number of items are available both electronically (at no charge) and in printed format (for a fee). Instructions for these “hybrid items” can be found below as well.
Downloading Items
When you have identified an item of interest in the search results page, you will see a few options (email now, download now or add to basket for no-charge items, or a price, quantity and add to basket for items available for purchase).
For no-charge items, choose email now or download now if you are done browsing the catalog and would like to obtain your materials.
Clicking email now will open a new window that looks much like an email message. Enter the recipient’s address (likely your own email address) and a message if you’d like. Then simply click send, and the materials will arrive in your email inbox shortly.
Click download now to download the materials directly to your computer’s desktop.
If you plan to download multiple items, or wish to continue browsing the catalog, click Add to Basket and the MaRC will keep track of these items until you’re done browsing. You’ll see the items you’ve added to your basket in the green column on the left of the search page. When you've finished browsing, click "view basket."
On the "view basket" page, confirm the materials you've selected are correct and click continue.
Select whether you would like to email or download the items in your basket. When you have made a choice for each item in your basket, click “Download Now” or “Email Now” to begin the process.
Note: If you placed items for purchase in your basket as well, you will be prompted to purchase these items before downloading the no-charge items. For help on purchasing items, please reference the section below.
Purchasing Items
To purchase items, indicate the quantity you’d like to purchase within the search results page and click Add to Basket.
To view your basket, click either of the View Basket links. These can be found in the upper right corner of the page, or within the green column on the left of the page. In your basket, click Proceed to Checkout to begin the purchase process.
Enter your shipping information. This is the address where you would like your materials shipped. Click Continue when you are finished.
Now select your shipping method. You’ll note different delivery times impact your total cost. You can also enter special delivery instructions on this page. Click Continue when you have made your selection.
Enter your payment information and click Continue.
You will receive an order confirmation, and your order is complete.
Note: If you placed no-charge items in your basket as well, you will be prompted to download them at this time. For help on downloading items, please reference the section above.
Hybrid Items
A small number of items on the Propane MaRC are available both as no-charge downloadable files or for-purchase printed materials. You have the option of downloading the no-charge files and printing these materials on your own, or purchasing pre-printed materials which will be shipped to you.
When browsing search result pages, you will notice these items simply show "view" instead of the standard "email now, download now and add to basket" options.
Upon clicking "view" you will be taken to the product detail page. Should you wish to email or download the no-charge version of the item, select "downloadable" from the drop-down menu and select your delivery preference to the right (email, download or add to basket).
If you would like to purchase the printed version of the item, select "purchasable" from the drop-down menu, then select "add to basket" to the right. You'll notice the "download now" and "email now" options now appear grey and cannot be clicked, as you are requesting to purchase a printed piece.
When you are finished browsing, follow the steps outlined above to finish the purchasing or downloading process.
